Little Wizards, Big Moments
As the lacrosse season begins to wind down for our U7 and U9 teams, it feels like the perfect time to reflect on just how much these young athletes have accomplished over the past few months.
At these age levels, success isn’t measured by standings or scoresheets. It’s measured in confidence gained, friendships built, new skills learned, and the excitement of simply stepping onto the floor each week ready to play.
This season, we’ve watched players:
- learn how to scoop and pass
- score their first goals
- encourage teammates
- gain confidence
- work through nerves
- celebrate small victories
- fall in love with the game of lacrosse
For many families, this was their very first experience with the sport of lacrosse. That first jersey, first practice, first game, and first team photo are moments that quickly become memories families will hold onto for years.
That’s why we’re launching our Little Wizards, Big Moments campaign.
🥍 Share Your Memories of the Season
We want to celebrate the heart of our youngest divisions by inviting families to share their favorite photos and memories from the season.
Whether it’s:
- a big smile after a game
- a hilarious bench moment
- a muddy jersey
- a team huddle
- a sibling cheering from the stands
- a proud first goal
- or simply the joy of being part of a team
— we want to see it.
Youth sports are about so much more than competition. They create confidence, friendships, resilience, and community. These moments matter, and they deserve to be celebrated.
Families are encouraged to submit photos through social media comments, direct messages, or by emailing the club. Selected photos may be featured on our social media pages, website, and season wrap-up content.
As we head into the final weeks of the season, we want our youngest athletes to know how proud we are of their effort, energy, growth, and sportsmanship.
These may be little players…
…but they’ve already created some very big moments. 🧡

Throughout the final weeks of the season, we’ll be sharing player highlights using your submitted photos and memories. For many of our U7 and U9 athletes, this is their very first sports season, and seeing themselves featured on the Wizards pages with a photo and special blurb is something they’ll never forget. Whether it’s their first goal, biggest smile, funniest moment, or favorite friendship from the season, we want to celebrate the little things that make youth sports so meaningful.
Our goal is to feature as many players as possible, so don’t be shy about sending photos in! 📸
