U17 Female

(formerly U16 or Midget)

Under 17 - Ages 15 & 16

The U17F season is set up as follows:

🔸U17F is for female players
🔸U17F teams play with 12-20 players per team
🔸U17F teams play player positions, such a goalies
🔸U17F player evaluations start in January
🔸U17F can have one friend request (please email the Registrar)
🔸U17F teams have 2 practices per week for 1 hour, typically Mon/Wed or Tues/Thurs
🔸U17F practices and plays the whole field, so floor times are more competitive
🔸U17F players require full gear

The Female Division is set to play against all the other women's teams in the same age division in the GELC league the entire season. There are currently not enough teams to support an A/B division separation, so teams are organized as parity-based.

NOTICE: In the circumstance that a player misses evaluations or joins the club after teams are made, it is at the discretion of the Registrar to which team the player will be placed.

Games

👟 U17F teams typically play two games per week. They are with other clubs in the Greater Edmonton Lacrosse Council (GELC). Games may be on Saturdays, and out of town.

🥍 U17F teams participate in 2-3 tournaments (at the Coach's discretion), and will travel out of Edmonton.

💰 U17F players are expected to participate in team fundraising, to offset tournament costs and build team camaraderie.

🥅 U17F division participates in Playoffs or Provincials.

🎽 JERSEY: You will be loaned a team jersey for Games. Jerseys will only be brought to Game days.
